FAQ

We will do our best to outline a few of our frequently asked questions. Please note that while these are some of the more popular questions asked, we always have time to answer any of the more detailed questions you may have.

Q: Does this item work?

A: Yes. All our items have been tested and verified as working. If for some reason an item needs a repair or is incomplete in some fashion, we will note that in its description. We do our best to provide the most detailed and accurate descriptions we can and will never intentionally mislead a customer into purchasing a piece that does not work.

Q: Can the trucking company call me before delivery?

A: Of course. All of our shipments come with a call notify feature, free of charge!

Q: What is a crating fee?

A: A crating fee is the amount we charge in order to properly package and crate your item. This charge will go to the cost of wood, packaging materials, and labor involved with readying the piece for shipment. Any item shipping via UPS will NOT be charged a crating fee.

Q: What is your contact info? Phone number? Hours of operation?

A: A-Plus Restaurant Equipment is located at 623 Sackett Street / Brooklyn, NY / 11217. Our telephone number is (718) 522-2656. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Q: Your shipping rates seem to be very high. Why is that?

A: Although it may be hard to believe, our shipping rates are actually quite low. What we charge our customer is what the freight company charges us. We do NOT profit from our shipping charges. What many people fail to realize is that our freight  weighs hundreds of pounds and must travel many miles to get to you. Doing high volume shipping allows us to offer our customers excellent freight rates. If you would like a better description of our shipping services, please view the Shipping Info tab on our website.

Q: Can I get a better price?

A: Although haggling seems to be customary in the restaurant equipment business, we try to avoid it at all costs by offering the best available prices. Bargaining and negotiating are all parts of the business, and we understand that, but we try to steer away from uncomfortable business practices. The prices we offer are always fair and well worth the cost. However, if you are interested in purchasing multiple items, there is a chance we can work something out. The best thing to do would be to contact us directly.
